Where's
Rabbi
Waxman?

by Jack Chick
        Main Characters:

                Rabbi Samuel Waxman
                Mrs. Waxman
                the Rabbi's daughter
                young man named Nathan.

        scene: Rabbi Waxman's dining table.

Mrs. Waxman: Rabbi Waxman is sick! He should be in bed! Tell him quickly what's bothering you, Nathan.

Nathan: I'm VERY upset. My friend, David, says Messiah has already come, and we must trust HIM for our salvation.

Rabbi Waxman: Oh, no Nathan. Let me explain...You are one of the Chosen!

Nathan: Yes, I know! But David said even the Chosen must believe in the Messiah.

Rabbi Waxman: But Nathan, our people are still waiting for him. He has not come yet.

Nathan: Are you SURE about that, Rabbi?...David showed me MANY Scriptures that indicate...the Messiah has already come!

Rabbi Waxman: That's CRAZY talk! (Rabbi coughs) Let me see that paper, Nathan!

The Rabbi takes the paper and looks at it. He is alarmed and thinks to himself: "I've seen these Scriptures before. If I accept them, my people will DISOWN me."

Rabbi Waxman: Nathan, WHAT are you trying to do to me? It's time you left.

Nathan: Oh, Rabbi, I'm SO sorry!

Mrs. Waxman: You look TERRIBLE, Samuel! To bed...RIGHT NOW!

Rabbi coughs and thinks to himself, "Why did he show me that?"

Rabbi's Daughter: Mama, I don't like Papa's color.

Mrs. Waxman: Make some chicken soup while I call Dr. Levi.

Mrs. Waxman calls the doctor.

Mrs. Waxman: Dr. Levi, Samuel looks GRAY. He's sweating AND chilling! I'm so frightened!

Doctor: I'll be there in twenty minutes.

The doctor arrives and checks out Rabbi Waxman.

Doctor: He's got FLUID on his lungs! Call 9-1-1!

Ambulance arrives.

Doctor: PRAY for him, Mrs. Waxman. This is VERY serious.

Friends are notified of Rabbi Waxman's condition. At the hospital...

Code Blue! It's still a flat line! We lost him!

Friends arrive one hour later.

Friends: Excuse us, where's Rabbi Waxman?

Hospital Staffer: I'm sorry. He passed away.

The funeral...

Officiant: Samuel Waxman is gone, for whom we all mourn. Let us say Kaddish, the prayer for the dead.

Friend to a grieving Mrs. Waxman: Samuel is at peace now. If anyone deserved heaven, he did.

Meanwhile, Rabbi Waxman stands before the Lord...

The Lord: It's time to give an account. Is Samuel Waxman's name in the Book of Life?

Rabbi Waxman: Is there ANY hope for me now, Lord?

The Lord: No, Samuel. It's too late for you.

"...whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." rev. 20:15

Rabbi Waxman (crying): Lord Jesus, is EVERYONE lost who rejects You?

The Lord: Yes, I am the ONLY way to heaven.

"Jesus saith...I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." john 14:6

NOTE: The Messiah came to earth and shed his precious blood to take away the sin of the world. He arose from the dead and was seen by over 500 witnesses (I Cor. 15:6)

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son (Jesus), that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." john 3:16

"He (Jesus) came unto his own, and his own received him not." john 1:11

Meanwhile, Nathan received the Messiah. He is kneeling in prayer.

Nathan: Dear Jesus, I believe that you are the promised one, the Messiah...I believe You died for my sins. Please come into my heart and be my Saviour.

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord (Jesus) shall be saved." rom 10:13

40 years later, Nathan died. He stands in front of the Lord.

The Lord: Is his name in the Book of Life?

Angel: Yes, Lord, it is here.

The Lord: "Well done, good and faithful servant...enter thou into the joy of thy lord." matt 25:23

"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." acts 4:12

To the Reader:

Jesus was NOT just a Jewish carpenter. He is the Creator of the Universe. col 1:16-17

Jesus fulfilled the Jewish law perfectly and is the Saviour of all mankind. He wants to save YOU right now...if you will put your faith in Him.
