I ain't progressive.

I got an e-mail from a man who identified himself as a 29 year old pastor. He boasted that he has a "progressive" fellowship and that the King James is not understandable to the modern man. I'm glad that he wrote because it made me immediately think about what I am and what I ain't. I'm old timey. I don't have to make new paths, the word of God has already laid my path down. In fact I am commanded not to remove the ancient landmarks which includes my King James Bible which is almost 400 years old--my martyred forefathers in the faith set this ancient landmark--

Proverbs 22:28 Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set.

The NIV been around a mere 25 years and it has brought nothing but wimpy "Christianity", confusion, and chaos. Give me the old paths. Give me the ancient landmarks. Give me my King James Bible. My response to the writer--

Dear Writer:

You can have "progressive", give me the "old paths" of Jeremiah 6:16, "Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the OLD PATHS, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein."

The God of the Bible is not "progressive", He is the same yesterday, today and forever so I hope that you don't really take pride in what you are doing. I'm 32 years old (not that it matters) and when I began walking with the Lord, I threw the other versions down on the ground not knowing why but now I do. I use the King James 1611 no matter who or what age I am dealing with and my God has blessed...You've come to the wrong place for "progressive" dialogue..."Progressive," mmph.
