Dear Sister:

Greetings and thanks for writing. My daughter Chloe just turned 3. We
have hymnbooks and I sing with her. I've made up my own flash cards
using cardboard that I had around the house (with white on one side, but
you can use any kind). She could read Jesus, God, blood, etc. by the
time she was 20 months. I wrote the same word on both sides with a red
marker. At least once a week, I try to read Genesis
chapters 1 and 2 out loud to her. After a month or so of doing this,
she has memorized quite a bit of it though it was not my objective to
get her to memorize it. I wanted her to know that we worship the God
that created everything. She knows that God created everything and
every person.

We do not watch any television, just our collection of Christian videos
and we do not watch them all that often. We have listed some of them at
http://www.jesus-is-lord.com/videos.htm Chloe does not have to have
pictures or fancy things, she likes for you to just read straight Bible.
I don't like Veggie Tales--vegetables don't talk and the stories are not
accurate. We have some wonderful videos designed for children but not
all that many. One day I came in the family room and she had put in a
science video for adults. I said, "What are you watching Chloe?" She
took her thumb out of her mouth and said, "I'm watching about blood
cells." And that was exactly what she was watching. She was two at
the time.

Everything around Chloe is about the word. She has books like "Anthony
Gets Ready for Church" and "Be thankful" (about being thankful to God
and your parents. I'll give you some links.) If our children get it
right about Jesus, they will have no problem with whatever subject they
come across. HE is our wisdom.

We also go over wonderful picture flash cards together
and I recently found out
that we have some that go over creation. I tried to use their script
but Chloe caught on that it was not the Bible, so I read straight Bible
and show her the cards at the same time. She also has many science
videos from a Christian perspective and reenactments of creation that are
used to confirm the word.

We go to zoos, aquarium, nature centers, etc. together to explore God's
creation. I want her to know the God of creation and appreciate Him for
who He is. That takes out Buddha, Confuscious, Allah, Mary, etc.

(the beautiful cards. You may want to start with preschool cards.
About $28 for the big ones, but they are awesome)

I believe this is enough to get you started. Thanks for writing with
your question. And God bless you as you raise up a godly seed unto King
Jesus.

[Addenda: Chloe helps me with housework, we do reading, math,
hide-n-seek, games, talking, errands of mercy, shopping, etc. I encourage
all my sisters to STAY HOME! The Lord and His doctrine be magnified.
Many people saved and unsaved comment on our family--God made THIS
family. HIS WORD has made us what we are. He will do the same for
anyone who will believe and obey Him, JUST BECAUSE HE IS GOD.
The world and the devil have their plans, but
God has His plans and they OVERRIDE everything else. Let's stay in the
word and raise that seed as we minister to our husbands!]

for Jesus' sake,
tracy

...they are impudent children and stiffhearted.
I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them,
Thus saith the Lord GOD. And thou, son of man, be not
afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers
and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions:
be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks,
though they be a rebellious house.
