From: jesus_is_lord To: List Member Subject: Suffering Date: Friday, May 12, 2000 3:04 AM jesus_is_lord Dear Christian Friend: Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ... The Antichrist Slideshow details some of the horrific tortures inflicted by Romanists on Christians. The Inquisition ain't over. For those who may fear before the deeds of man, I send this small reminder. The God of my salvation will never leave nor forsake His own. He became flesh and shed blood through torture and crucifixion. The man from Galilee was made PERFECT THROUGH SUFFERINGS (Heb. 2:10) and He is MORE THAN ABLE TO SUCCOUR ME THROUGH ANY TEMPTATION IN MY BODY (Heb 2:18). Though He was a Son, He learned obedience by the things He suffered (Heb 5:8) I must be obedient to the heavenly vision in the hour of my patience that I may be glorified with Him (Romans 8:17-18). Unto me it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also TO SUFFER for his sake (Phi. 1:9). I want to know Him, and THE POWER of his resurrection, AND THE FELLOWSHIP OF HIS SUFFERINGS, being made conformable unto his death (Phi. 3:10) I want to glory in my patience and faith in ALL MY persecutions and tribulations that I endure for Christ's sake which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that I may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which I also suffer seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble me (2 Thes 1:4-6) This is the part I love, Lord Jesus--I may suffer trouble as an evil doer, even unto bonds; BUT THE WORD OF GOD IS NOT BOUND (2 Timothy 2:9)!!! GLORY! AND RIGHTEOUS BLOOD STILL CRIES FROM THE GROUND, BLESS THE NAME OF JESUS! All that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution so I am fully expecting persecution everyday (2 Tim 3:12). I'd rather suffer affliction with the people of God than enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season (Heb. 11:25). I am going to remember those who have been in grievous bonds and I am going to carry the banner of truth in this generation no matter how I am ostracized by this world. Jesus suffered without the gate (Heb. 13:12). I want to go outside of this world to suffer with Him. Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience (James 5:10). What a wonderful, blessed, holy, obedient, righteous congregation we belong to! Just men now made perfect and what a testimony they have. There is a river of blood flowing back to righteous Abel. Our fathers feared not at the lion's mouth nor at Satan's greatest wrath. They committed their souls to the Just One who ushered them into HIS everlasting kingdom--it shall know NO END! Glory! As we go through, let us say, "Be THOU exalted Lord Jesus! Praise Him! Glory! Hallelujah! Thank you, Jesus! Thank you, Jesus! Jesus, Jesus, Jesus! Hallelujah!" More fabulous, wonderful scriptures that provide words of comfort, encouragement, and exhortation-- I Peter 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: 2:23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: 3:14 But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; 4:16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. 4:19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator. 5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. Revelation 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. Christ be magnified in us. for Jesus' sake, an unprofitable servant -- http://www.jesus-is-lord.com ...I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD. And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.
