Subject: Cussing and the King James Bible?

Dear Friends:

As you know, this wicked generation in which we live has gone hog wild
crazy. A dear sister recently made me aware of what a group of sickos is
doing. Visit her ministry at http://watch.pair.com/pray.html
In the Watch Unto prayer newsletter she said,

"A Scottish publisher has recently released editons of books of the King
James Bible with introductions that denigrate and blaspheme God."

Look at some of the blaspheme coming from the lips of these high-minded
fools. Yes, I said fools. It may seem for a season that they rejoice,
but it is a SHORT season indeed. Let's take a look at some of their
comments keeping in mind that they are publishing these WITH BIBLE BOOKS
FROM THE KING JAMES BIBLE.

The fool that wrote the introduction to Revelation is named Will Self. He
wrote in his introduction: "I have no truck with personal immortality. It
is the dross of the opium of the people. I have no conception of humans as
born in sin, screaming for redemption." He also embellished his
introduction WITH A FOUR-LETTER WORD.

The fool that wrote the introduction to Job is named Louis De Bernieres.
He wrote in his introduction to the Book of Job: "There are many episodes
in the Bible that show God in a very bad light, and one cannot but
conclude from them either that God is a mad, bloodthirsty and capricious
despot, or that all this time WE HAVE INADVERTENTLY BEEN WORSHIPING THE
DEVIL." He also said in his introduction to Job that, "God emerges from
it looking like an unpleasantly sarcastic megalomaniac..... a frivolous
trickster."

Now see there? I hear from unregenerate, wicked people who actually tell
ME this wickedness. After I see where they are coming from, I delete
their messages. These people don't need to be hearing "God loves you"
they need to be hearing "You going to hell if you don't GET RIGHT with God
you wicked fool!". I usually don't tell 'em nothing 'cause they crazy and
have REJECTED the truth. They then try to make a mockery of it. The
Bible says that God is ANGRY with the wicked EVERYDAY. I believe it was
David that asked, "Do you love them that hate the Lord?" I'll let you
know right now that I would do those people no harm, but they ain't my
friends and I sympathize with them in NO way. In my eyes they are spots
and BLEMISHES. God is exceeding merciful to let them live to speak the
things they do--but He knows what He is doing and in THAT day these fools
will be speechless. If this "offends" some of you, you may unsubscribe to
this newsletter. If you write me to tell me I'm not loving, I'll take you
off myself--quickly.

Look at what another one of 'em (Blake Morrison) said in his
introduction--he called Jesus "pushy and somewhat dislikeable" and
concluded: "Heresy though it is to say it, the Gospel of John has the
quality of a fairy tale."

These ain't the only blaspemous comments found in these introductions to
King James books. The publisher is Canongate and these books are set to
be sold in Scotland in October. Here is a comment from another source
about this series of Bibles: "The Pocket Canon, licensed by the Scottish
Bible Board, is supposedly thought-provoking" but the introductions,
written by various non-Christian personalities, are critical of
Christianity, the Bible and in some cases God." Look who licensed it!
The Scottish Bible Board.

Look at this:

"Fay Weldon writes a vitriolic piece against the Apostle Paul whom she
considers a turncoat, slippery, power-obsessed and 'the very Mandelson of
religious politics, demanding his united front'.

"Will Self tells a lurid story of early experiences with drugs and sex,
and of a young man who became obsessed by the Book of Revelation (though
not a Christian). Will Self himself read it "once" and "found it a sick
text; I never want to read it again" He says "there's something not quite
right about Revelation... [Tracy's note: I bet he don't like that part
about the LAKE OF FIRE!!!!!!!!!! his wicked spirit knows he's headed there]

"Nick Cave tells of his repugnance of the Old Testament and its 'maniacal
God who dealt out to humanity punishments that had me drop-jawed in
disbelief at their vengefulness'. He concludes that God is malign, even
evil. He says that he left this stage behind, having tired of "watching a
whacked out God tormenting a wretched humanity."

"On being advised to read the book of Mark, he then sees Jesus Christ as a
human being with all the frailities of mankind and warms to him, only to
berate the Church even more for 'denying Christ his humanity'."

A Christian summed it up like this:

"These three extracts illustrate the problem we have before us. The only
reason anyone should chose to introduce the scriptures to people unlikely
to have read them before with these scurrilous attacks is surely to
denigrate the scriptures even further and cause them to descend to the
place of "classical" but unwanted fiction, rather like the works of the
Marquis De Sade.

"One can only hope and pray that for some people the scriptures will speak
for themselves and rise about these attacks! God needs no apologetics, and
his Word still has that ancient power to convince, convict and convert. So
maybe the publishers will shoot themselves in the foot?"

I ain't addin' no more here. May God be glorified through you my fellow
saints out there. You know what you need to be doing so let's do it.

For Jesus' sake,
Sis. Tracy

I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them,
Thus saith the Lord GOD.

And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be
afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee,
and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words,
nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.

Ezekiel 2:4, 6
