The Roman Catholic religion has a STRANGLEHOLD on every country that it dominates. The Dark Ages of ignorance were ushered in, and maintained by, the Catholic Religion. Kings were deposed, people's goods were taken from them and given to the greedy thugs of Rome called priests, friars, and monks, millions were killed and mistreated--and the Roman monster grew. South America is Roman Catholic, but thousands are leaving the Catholic religion everyday to become real Christians. This is disconcerting to Romanists and they are once again scheming on many different levels to keep the people in bondage.

Today, 9-10-97, I received a letter from a Brazillian brother in Christ asking for prayer. His letter...

First of all, sorry, cause I don't speak english as well... I am a brazillian brother in Christ. This is a urgent request of pray. In Brazil the great corrupted Roman religion is trying to stop the voice of the Gospel, through one new law that their political representants are now sending to the national congress. In that law they try to stop any kind of noise over "x" decibels, and this include sound of music of gospel churches. It looks very ridiculous, but they are winning!

Just, pray for us.

This may sound quite mild to some, but it is not for several reasons.

1. The Psalms tell us that the LORD loves a joyful noise unto His name. How do we know He likes it loud? The Bible tells us so. Look at the music ministry of Old Testament Israel:

   So the number of them, with their brethren that were instructed in the songs of the LORD, even all that were cunning, was two hundred fourscore and eight. --1 Chronicles 25:7

   That is 288 people devoted to the Lord's music. I think that was pretty loud. They made music/prophesied with cymbals, psalteries, harps, and voices. They were giving it up for the Lord! The proposed Catholic law would have certainly silenced them. This is contradictory to the word of God.
   
   

2. Music is a powerful stimulant to the soul. I can imagine a Catholic child or adult (any unbeliever, for that matter) outside when they suddenly hear praises to Jesus coming from a real church. The unbeliever goes inside the church to find out what is going on. They look around and realize that they don't have the kind of joy that these Christians do. And they don't know Jesus in the personal way that these Christians seem to. They are curious. In the end, they find out the truth and get saved.

   Popery hates this because these new converts won't be paying for any more masses to get loved ones out of the mythical "purgatory", they won't be buying statues and candles for idol-worship, and they won't be bound up by the cult that sits on seven hills. When people get converted, they start telling other people the truth and the whole ball of Catholic lies starts to unravel.

   For many centuries, Rome could enforce its will on the masses by violence. It is well-known and documented that the Catholic religion killed people for having Bibles and for living in accordance with it instead of the Catholic religion. In fact, Bible reading was forbidden to Catholics until recently. How shall Romanists escape the damnation of the wicked as they supress the truth in unrighteousness?

   Music can lead people to God or away from God. Gospel music leads people to God. That's why Romanists are concerned about gospel music. They want to supress the truth because their precepts are anti-thetical to the Bible.
   
   

3. This legislation is the first step in more to come. I heard a preacher once say, "Satan gets a toe-hold, then he gets a foot-hold and then a strong-hold." The Catholic religion is not going to like they did in the old days and say, "Get the heretics out of here!" or kill them. there are too many eyes watching. They'll pull some strings here and there and open up the way--like this piece of legislation. Satan works on you by wearing you down in what seems to be a little thing in order to open up the way for full scale attack.

   There will be another Inquisition.
