Where are we coming from

Centralizing the Holy Spirit:

Establishing control and Head Offices; religious capitals like Jerusalem, Mecca, Rome, Salt Lake City, etc.

John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.  And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not:  for he that is not against us is for us.  Luke 9: 49-50

The Radical Pilgrim

Purpose:

Own spirit

Free spirit.  Ps. 51:12  ...  uphold me with thy free spirit.

We are wonderfully (re) made in the image of God to have the mind of Christ (1 Cor. 2:6), to bring captive every thought (2 Cor. 10:5), as the spirit of the prophet is subject to the prophet (1 Cor. 14:32).  Meaning, we are not supposed to be an automatism but gifted with the ability and faculties to think for ourselves, to independently rationalize and weigh up situations, and to make choices. God has called us to respond ...  not compelled us to activate like robots.

Pr.  25:28. He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.

Heavenly Call
Called to a heavenly vision ...  Acts 26:19.  Eyes fixed on above (Col. 3: 1-2), to what's unseen and eternal (2 Cor. 4:8).

Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepth the law, happy is he.  Pr. 29:18.

This verse is nothing to do with setting earthly goals as taken out of context in Motivational Teaching, used by sales teams and New Age seminary, but everything to do with obedience to the word of God.

Our goal, our destiny is Heaven:

Heb 11:8-16. By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.  By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.  Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.  These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.  For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.  And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.  But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

Apostolic calling direct from God:

Rom. 1:1.  Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God ...

v 6-7.   Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ: To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Relating to 1 Cor. 1:1- 2.  Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother, Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

v9.  God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

Focused solely on Jesus:

Heb 12:1- 3.  Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.  For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

Meaning:

Priesthood

Priesthood of all Believers:

1 Pet.  2:5.  Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

1 Pet.  2:9. But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Rev.  1:6.  And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever.

Rev. 5:10.  And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Rev. 20:6.  Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Also:

Matt. 23:9.  And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

Gal. 2: 2,5 - 6.  And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain ...  To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.  But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth no man's person:) for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me:

Covering, Mothering, and Smothering:

For all those dear Saints who are concerned about me being a Lone Ranger outside the camp where the sheep do rein (along with the odd deer and antelope, the odd goat and 'cross dresser' wolf), hope the following two lines reassures you:

"We read a different chapter at home every week, then gather together to discuss it.  And there are elders in the midst, to make sure everything is done orderly and scripturally."

The Way
The way (meaning travellers way, journey).  Because the early Believers were recognized publicly as putting no importance on earthly things.  As pilgrims only passing through, they were nicknamed as a sect ...  the way.  John 14:6.  Acts 9:2; 19:23; 24:14,22.  See also Acts 24:5; & 28:22.

A Pilgrim's Story

Seek and ye shall  find

Matt. 7:7.  Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:  For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.  ( and Luke 11:9)

Jer. 29:13.  And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Most driest book
For the Lord hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes ... and the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee:  and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed. Is. 29: 10-11.

Job 28: 20- 21.   Whence then cometh wisdom? and where is the place of understanding?  Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the fowls of the air ...

Luke 18:34.  And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.

1 Cor. 2:14.  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

2 Cor. 4:3- 4.  But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:  In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Eph. 4: 17-18. This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

Rev. 5: 2- 4. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?  And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.  And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.

For those of us who believe that "Christianity" has become so far removed from the restoration that Y'shua gave us, taking Christians out of Christianity is like taking pagans out of witchcraft that disguises itself as the worship of the true God.  The only truth that has lasted throughout the ages, in so-called Christianity, is that Y'shua is the Messiah.  Even that concept has been overlaid with Mithran sun-worship imagery that we no longer recognize Him.  If we can't distinguish Him from the truth because of the false teachings, how can we expect the Jewish nation to do so.  Remember, He will not return until they do so.
