Hi my name is ---- and I really liked your site especially the
part about the charismatics cuz I used to go to a charismatic church and it
was really weird.  My mom and I went to the church and all the people there
were screaming at the tops of their lungs and rolling around and women's
dresses were flying up over their heads and stuff like that, it was really
weird.  And one time my friend...went and fell off the stage because
someone was running around and she sprained her wrist.  And then this one
time I was up at the altar, they made all of us kids come up (I'm 14) and
they kept telling us to fall over and be slain in the spirit and when they
started praying for me they told me to fall over and accept the spirit and I
wouldn't fall over and they just keep pressing against my head so hard that
it hurt so I just fell over so they would stop pushing against my head and
then when it was all over I talked to two of my friends and they said that
they fell over to because their heads were hurting from where they were
pushing so hard and my one friend had a huge red mark on her forehead where
they had kept pushing her until they made her fall down.  And then one time
this guy came who said he was a prophet and he made us all come to the altar
and then he kept praying over me in some weird language and it sounded
really spooky and then I felt this thing come over me, like I couldn't
breathe, and I really did fall to the ground that time because I couldn't
breathe, and the guy kept saying that he was praising God and I think it was
a demon or something because I really couldn't breathe at all.  I really
think that was it, cuz then I said in my mind "please help me Jesus" and
then I could breathe again and I felt like 10 pounds lighter or something.
And after that I was really scared to go into that church so I didn't go to
church with my mom anymore I went with my aunt and she goes to a really good
Baptist church and I like it a lot better, and the pastor preaches about
things out of the Bible and when I went to the charismatic church they
usually didn't teach out of the Bible they taught out of a book, a new book
every week, usually about how we could get a lot of money from God and stuff
like that.  And now the pastor here preaches about winning souls and how we
should be more like Jesus and stuff.  And now I also get to volunteer at a
homeless shelter and I really like it cuz Jesus loved poor people too and
now I get to show them that Jesus loved them.  Back at the charismatic
church they never did much witnessing they were always more concerned about
getting money and stuff like that, and I like working at the shelter because
so many people there think they don't have any hope and Jesus is the hope
they need and I can tell them that!  :)  And also there is a youth group at
the Baptist church and we go out on Saturday afternoons and witness to the
kids at the park and it is fun, I have seen four people now accept Jesus
since I started with the group and that has only been a month ago.  And more
people were saved than that in the months before I came.  So I like it and I
hope that other people too get out of charismatic churches because they
don't follow after God and I hope they find good churches like mine.  Thank
